bolton audi

i recently purchased the k04 kit from AWE. the borla exhaust was back ordered so at first i was just using the stock exhaust. everything was fine and i was loving it. then the borla exhaust came and that was installed. it has a nice tone but at about 3500 rpm or so under full throttle, there is a very loud, distinct sound coming from the exhaust. it sounds like wind howling or screeching through a pipe. so much so that it drowns out the regular sound of the tuned exhaust. i asked the shop where i had it put on and they said it was normal and it was the sound of the turbo echoing through the exhaust pipe. i have driven other turbo cars and they do not make this noise and it didn't make the noise with the stock exhaust. does any one else have this same setup? and if so, do you have this same problem? i don't really like this noise but would a different exhaust eliminate this sound?thanks

When and how long after you begin to drive do you hear these peculiar sounds?

or if its a bolt on make sure all the pipes are flush mounted and there are no gaps showing. You might have an escape somewhere in the system.

that is the sound of the Y-pipe tips. It will go away after a few months.

it is more of a loud rushing/hissing sound, and it is normal. The volume will subside after a few weeks of driving.
