got lasered the other day coming home on 80, normally i keep it at about 80, but i guess i wasnt paying attention..so now i hafta get outta this any way possible, it was a state trooper, and he got me in denvlle, nj. he did forget to check off what kind of equipment he used to get me, will that do anything? i need to get this reduced...otherwise its a $426 fine and 4 points...TIA John

Damn son... I don't know what to tell you, but I got flagged at 106MPH (in a 65MPH) on 101Nth in SJ, CA passing over 1st St. and then recently got flagged again on the way to Pismo Beach in Paseo De Robles also at 106MPH with a pace of 110MPH(I know 70MPH zone, officer put 65MPH)... I got a case on Monday03... Well I'm just gonna take it to court and ask for a speedy trial within 30 days, hoping the CHIP won't show(case will be thrown out.)... if he or she does, then I'll just have to tell them, my exit was approaching and the safest thing for me to do was to mash out on all traffic in lanes 3, 2, and 1 in order to get to lane 1 and make the exit. Yeah will see what the Judge says. Be bold don't let the judge intimidate you with his bs scare tactics...

Laser got me doing 84. While he was telling me about how bad it was gonna hurt, He stopped and looked at my daughter's seat and looked back at me and said, "I gonna give you a warning this time..."

That is why my (now outdated) sig says Baby seat mod... dunno if that is why I only got a warning, but he let the Accord go that was passing me - just to nail me. I guess he figgerd I was a kid racing around until he saw the seat...

Anyway - goto ticketassasin.com and do searches. BUT - IMHO your only bet is to go to the prosecutor and plead to get it reduced.
If your record is bad and this will risk problems w/ your license, get a lawyer.

About 6 months ago I was driving east past rockaway and the trooper was sitting on the shoulder facing the opposite direction. It was 86 in a 65. I went to court and talked to the prosecuter and it was dropped to a 2 point ticket. This is the only suggestion I have.

I was lucky! Caught going 80 on 55 when couple minutes earlier was going 135 on a 65 on Long Island
