So i go to the local Audi dealer, there is only like 3 where i live, and they are very far away. Anyhow, they tell me they can't do it until Saturday or next week.. I am like WTF?? to change the freaking oil? So i leave, the Service OIL light has been coming on for a week, and i know that does not mean crap, but the oil is pretty bad and really dark, you know how sometimes you just keep putting things off. Anyhow since today is my only day off until next week i really wanted to get it done today, so i go to the next best place which i have taken my 240SX there many times and my RX-7 and they do a good job, After waiting for 20 minutes the mechanic calls me and tells me he can't get the drain plug off. He even shows me how much pressure he is putting on it and the thing won't loosen up..GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR... I cannot believe this crap..Anyhow he told me i better take it to Audi...[rolleyes].. I swear sometimes this is the reason i hate owning my A4, its such a pain in the *** to get anything done on it..Or takes forever..I am getting ready to trade it in for either a new A4 or 03 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer...Anyhow sorry but i had to rant..

Well i sell cars for a living, if you know anything about the car business then you'd know we practically live at work, I never have time to do anything, and the few days i get off(4 last month) i already have 20 other things to do. I have 3 cars so is not like i have been driving it with bad oil. I went to the Audi dealer at 7am so i could leave the car there and get it done and possibly have it back by the end of the day or tomorrow.. You need to think before you post man, or before you try to flame people...I dont have that problem when i go to Nissan or Mazda to service the RX7 or 240SX...But Audi is always the same thing, when i had the A4 serviced for the AWD they had my car for almost 2 weeks..Its not Audi i am blaming anyways is the dealer network they have..I would mention the dealer but this is the same place that sued someone on another forum.. i am sure you read about it..

for nearly 30 days for the same problem. 2 more days and it is lemon lawed. Ford not only won't fix the problem, but they refuse to admit that there is anything wrong with it. They say that the nasty driveline clunk is "normal". Whatever you do, don't buy a ford. If you want reliability, look to the japenese...
but yes, most mechanic places are incompetent...severly incompetent actually. Change the oil yourself if you really need to, it's not hard. And it will save you the stress of having to deal with morons.
Keep the Audi imo.
