Default werid noise

hello i am new to the forum so i will tell u a little about my car first. its a b5 2000 a4 1.8t quattro. it has apr stage 3 turbo kit etc. spec stage 2+ clutch and flywheel. neuspeed full exhaust. and some sweet milli miligia evo 18 wheels. i love um. however recently i have experience a strange noise when i take off in first gear or reverse. this noise also happens if i am going like... 25 mph and downshift into 2nd etc. its a screeeeeech noise errrrrrrrr noise. and as soon as i let out the clutch completely and start moving it stops. my dad told me to consider changing some belts. i am not sure if its a belt or maybe something to do with the clutch. if anyone could give me some suggestions i would appreciate it.

Your alternator belt might need tightening. Does it do it all the time or just when the car's cold?

Default Replace all those accessory belts.

Its not that expensive and they do dry up rather soon.

I'm with youcantseeme, probably the alternator belt.

So do all the belts and make sure everything is on snug. When you get in there, you'll know what Im talking about when making sure its snug. You can adjust the tightness on them.
