I have been informed that as of today (4-10-99), Audis scheduled for west coast delivery will arrive via the Port of San Diego. The first ship carrying west coast Audis was scheduled to arrive today (sorry, but I don't know the name of the ship). Some west coast cars may still arrive via Houston for now, but ultimately all west coast cars should arrive here. I am not sure exactly which states will still arrive via Houston, and which will change their delivery port to San Diego. I asked if this trip through the Panama Canal is quicker than trucking from Houston, and apparently the answer is yes. Also, Houston is a busier port, so supposedly there may be less delay at the port. <p>Here is a link that shows the arrivals of ships arriving here in San Diego:
