Wett Chip on my 97 Audi1.8t Automatic!?
I was looking at the Wett chip since Sean's A4 page raves about it. However, I got an automatic and how much of a performance boost will be noticeable on my geezer ****?
Anyone with experiences or data, tell me... also if you can throw in some opinions for great tires, shoot.
Thanks!

Re: Wett Chip on my 97 Audi1.8t Automatic!?
The Wett chip is a much needed option forthe slush box. I have 30k mi with the Wett 1.0. '97 1.8 tq auto.I have had no problems at all. I ahve the Remus also with a Ram air filter. All the se options have added to the driving and pleasure. I a do 70 mi a day avg (long commute) and all systems are functioning flawlessly. I only have the stupid heated mirrors and one set wiper blades replaced. Great car.... I have now 8" of snow in the drive and not eager to shovel. The Goodyear eagles although warn will get me out in fine shape. I better get on the stick as the plows will probably put a large drift at the end of the drive andf it is up hill to get out.
PeterV.

Re: Wett Chip on my 97 Audi1.8t Automatic!?
I have looked at the TAP chip vs. the Wett chip for the last 4 months. My friend has an A4 with the TAP chip and his car is much faster vs. my stock A4. I took the plunge and purchased the Wett chip and just received it last week. The difference, in my opinion, is huge. I am very happy I decided to chip my car. As far as the Wett chip vs. the TAP chip, I have not raced my friend yet so I do not know which one is faster.

I will chip soon
I also have a 97 1.8T quattro with automatic. I really fine it underpowered. I will most likely chip within this week. I will post my findings.
Oh yes, I will go with the Wett 1.0 bar chip. I like the ability to change back to the Audi stock chip for services.
