That's far from normal. How does the oil cooler look? Try a Hi-Mi oil for minor leaks.

But this entire list is about ego's and things Audi doesnt know

I will rely on good old experience, these engines are not significantly different thn others?

I think all auto manufacturers use 1qt/1k miles as their guideline.

Keeps them from having to do oil usage related warranty work.

I went down this path with my SC2.
