What it is about the new A4 design that bothers me: it looks chopped up

The front bumper looks like it was an afterthought. The hood grill just turns into right angles as it reaches the bumper point, kind of like someone said "oops, cut right here and insert a bumper". This follows with the top of the bumper grill as well. Even the bottom of the headlights have this chopped effect.
As far as the rear, I can live with the general shape. It may grow on me. I love the current model's bubble-butt, and realize that is lost, and I may not get over it. But what really turns me off about the rear is the tailights -- there again they look like an afterthought. Kind of like they designed a curved shapely rear and then someone said "oops, we forgot taillights...here, stick them here"; they completely interrupt the lines. On the current A4, they seem to blend right in. I will never get used to the tack-on taillights, nor do I think I'll ever like them. I thought they were detractions on the A6, but they're much worse on this new A4.
