Default What am I doing wrong??? (CD changer and adapter question)

Ok, since my stock changer failed after the warranty, I got myself a Panasonic CX-DP801 8 disc changer ($109 refurbised). There wasn't any price difference between the 6-8 disc changers so I opted for the 8 disc changer. I also got a PIE AUD/PC-PAN8 adapter and was hoping everything to work out flawless after advices, searches and etc. THEY DO NOT WORK!!!! I am sick of this CD changer ****.

I have a 98.5 BOSE Concert unit. It has a 13 pin connector although 10 of them has pins. (The installation guide says it is for 13pin connector, I guess this is what I have. After all the PIE people over the phone told me that this is the one I need.)

Here is what happened. I am getting the CDE1 and CDE3 error randomly. I have no idea what is wrong, maybe my connections. I know that the headunit is working since I pluged in my friends CD changer and it worked. The problem should either be the changer or the adapter.
If somebody knows something that has to be done please tell me. Thanks!!

KEREM

Default Refurbished does not mean it is not working, to my knowledge it should be working fine

when sold as a refurbished unit as well, the thing has a 90 day warranty on it. It is always a possibility that the unit is not working but I want to eliminate all the odds before I sent the unit back.

Default All I'm saying is if your buddies changer works fine and yours doesn't

It's gotta be your changer. And refurbished can be notoriously shoddy. I hope you get it worked out. 100 bucks is a great deal.

Default I know but my buddy's changer is stock as well so the adapter is not required..

With my new changer I have to use an adapter which can be faulty as well. I'll try again today, I hope it works this time.
