What are the benefits of an anodized FMIC vs. just natural finish? only longjevity?

for your car though, i like it anodized. it's because your grill is so blingy too, having an unpainted fmic just made it too much. it's better now.

Anodization, just like AL corrosion WILL effect the heat transfer properties of the AL. Although the effect is negligible in this application. In your application, the effects may be catastrophic.
Now there is some heat transfer theory I can get into about radiant heat and why black may not be the best idea, but we'll leave that alone.
