Lots of subs get loud but sound like ***
- Avoid low priced subs
Lots of subs get loud but sound awesome
- JL, Xtant, Diamond, PPI.
Some subs dont get as loud, but sound better
- Vifa, Velodyne
Lots of speakers just suck
- Most of the stuff you can buy at Circuit City/Best Buy (but not all of it)
Lots of speakers are very high quality
- Diamond, Boston Pro, Focal Utopia, Dynaudio, Rainbow Pro, etc.

Never buy any car sterep equipment from circuit city or best buy or any of those chain stores. The prices are outrageous and most of them work of commission. I went to circuit city and 1 guy told me that you need a headunit with 3 pre-amps in order to have subs....what an ***. Anyways the ultimate set-up for the A4 is definately one by Crossfire. For $1500, retail is around $1850, you can get a 4000!!!!!!!! watt twin amp, and two 12" subs all of which can be set up in the factory concert head unit. This way u can keep the amazing red gauge color scheme in the car and not have to buy a head unit. Plus, the set up comes with an amp module which lets u lower the amp power this way u can completely controll the amount of bass you want. As far as power, try 168 db. Trucks that have 3 amps and 6 12's cant even match that. The fact that you have 2 subs also gives you a huge slam not just low beats. And the 4000 watt amp makes it sound oh so clear. If u want the actual names of each individual crossfire part lemme know.
I got mine done at NuImage Motorsports in Rochester NY, aka the install shop
