Default WD40 didn't do much for me...try an adhesive remover like Goof-Off.

Be sure to wax after removal.

Default Use 3M Adhesive Remover Instead of WD40

When I de-badged my car I tried using WD40 and it was not the best solution. I searched around and found that the 3M Wax & Adhesive remover is made for cars and is used for just these cases. You can get it at any auto place. I used WD40 on the right badge and 3M on the left. The 3M side was 100 times easier and 100 times cleaner then the WD40 side. If you have any questions, let me know.

MacGyver would make an explosive device using the fishing line as a fuse.
