Default What bolts can't I reuse doing a DIY clutch replacement?

I am changing the clutch in my sister's 99.5 A4 1.8TQM next week and am getting the parts together. I have read the tech articles and have all the right tools (I have to check on the triple square torx).

My question is are their any bolts that are going to break or can't be re-used? I looked most them up in ETKA so I have some part numbers. If there is anyhting else I should do while I have it off please let me know. Oh and does the needle bearing need to be replaced when I take the FW of to have it resurfaced?

Thanks

Default The Flywheel bolts can not be reused

You must replace those. I'd just get the Pressure Plate bolts as well, I always replace all flywheel/PP hardware when I have to remove any of them.

Default Yes, replace the pilot bearing. A complete clutch kit should come with bolts and bearings.

I did my clutch last month :-)

Yes, replace the pilot bearing anyway. It should be done when replacing the clutch. The pic is of the factory clutch centering tool and press tool for the pilot bearing, tool#3176. You might consider replacing the following while your in there:
-trans guide sleeve & seals
-trans output shaft seal
-rear main seal
The cost of the parts in minor.

Default Your local dealer parts dept. should be able to get them for you at minor cost

VW or Audi, doesn't matter. Go in with part numbers in hand.
