Shhhhh...don't make me feel bad...
so to justify my price, mine is an Avant Quattro. They cost more. Ok maybe not 4k more but like I said, don't make me feel bad. I feel I got a good deal on a GREAT car.

You can do it....
Here are some factual prices as of today....
I have a deposit down on a 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro, Manual, Sport, Convenience $26,000 (before tax, tag, title). Dealer started at $29,500. Best price was $26,750, then came down to $26,250. We made a deal at $26,000. It was a dealer loaner car. It has 3,100 miles on it. Had a small ding in the back - they fixed it - looks perfect. 2001 will give you a 4 year warranty (instead of 3 year with pre-2001 models). Also 170hp stock and side airbags standard.
Before that I was very seriously considering a 99.5 with 17k miles Quattro, manual, sport, convenience, superb condition. Seller started at $23,900 and came down to $21,300.
I also came across a 2000 with 16k miles. Quattro, Manual, Sport, Convenience, Bose, Xenon, Chip and Air Intake. Seller sold it for $24,300
They are out there, you just need to be on the lookout. These were prices in Atlanta. (although one seller was in NC, the other in TX)
Good Luck!

Re: Definatly A4 :)
My old man has a BMW 328 with the harmon kardon and I believe that it depends upon your musical taste. The Bose is more "Bassy" and seems more powerful. Overall, I prefer the Bose. The speed sensitive volume crap isnt really noticeable.
