I want to get the "reissued" all-weather floormats from Clair. Barry tells me that they are available in black or grey.

My car is Pelican Blue, and I have the "advance" interior, with the ecru (grey) cloth interior.
My carpeted floormats are black, and it is a very nice contrast -- they match the dashboard and steering wheel.

Should I stick with black for the all-weather floormats ? Or would the grey look better ?

if the carpets are black, I'd stay with that. I wouldn't want the mats to contrast with the carpets.

For anybody else following this, I just got the new Audi mats in "gray" and I haven't decided if I'll keep them. The new Audi mats don't match the opal gray in my '00 Avant, they are very tan. I looked at a '99 brochure to see the ecru color and it looks like Audi was trying to cover ecru and opal with one product. The opal gray is tannish also, and the gray Weathertech mats that I have are too blue, but the new Audi mats are pushing it on the other side! The Audi mats are very nice, as reported by mwaite earlier today, if anything they're heavier than the Weathertechs, but what's with the color?!?!? If the ecru interior has black carpet anyway, why not make the mats in opal gray?

My interior is grey (now I don't remember if it is "opal grey" or "ecru grey." It is a tannish sort of grey though.)

The carpeting is the same color grey as well.

I have two sets of carpeted floormats -- the matching grey floormats to match the interior, and the ones I usually use are black carpeted.
So I'll probably stick with black, and get the black all-season mats. That way I don't have to worry if the grey colors match perfectly.
