What are the consequences of using Eibach springs developed for 1.8TQ on a 2.8Q? Do you think I can
get away with it?
Is the difference in springs really that great?
Thanks.

You can. After all, some companies use the same spring for the A4 and S4...
with about 500lbs difference. You'll see another 1/4 inch or so drop on those Eibachs. Would handling be compromised? Probably not. I don't know the spring rates but they are probably slightly stiffer than the sport springs (you can kinda tell if they are much shorter than the sport springs when they are both uncompressed). After all, you see varying spring rates installed on various Audi's from 250lb/in to 800lb/in. So, you just have to match damper settings in between. Can you get away, Yes. However, when you want a more aggressive setup, then don't look there. Good Luck.

If you want to see a 1.8t w/2.8 springs check my sig....
I got them for $300 w/bilsteins installed so I had to give it a try. It's a little high in front so eventually I'll be getting the propper springs
