Default What control arms are making the noise?

I know i can figure out the top ones once i jack the car up. Is it the same for the lower ones?

I got a couple of things i need fixing and am trying to be cost/time effective about it. Tie rods, CV boot, control arms??

Default What you need to do is replace ALL the control arms and replace the CV boot.

You can find all this on purems.com.

BTW, some find it easier to just replace the entire axle rather than deal with a boot.

Default I agree after dealing with the problems numerous times...

The c/v boot replacements can go a few ways. The boots can be poorly seated and pop off. The joint itself can be worn beyond repair and you can fix but it will eventually click again with a good boot. Finally, you might just get it on time and fix it. I did a raxle axle for under $180, it was great. I just did a dealer boot kit replacement and it went well and its working fine.
Control arms, if you only have one bad upper one, you might just ruin the good one next to it. It's likely you have one torn on the other side. If you compare the prices of placing just 4 and tie rods, its close to the amount of just buying the entire kit. I'm contimplating just getting a kit soon to replace one upper one. I know I will kill the one next to it and the other side is soon to go. Might as well get it knocked out all at once.

Default yeah.. that's what i thought as well. Initially I didn't want to take such a hit but it looks like

maybe i'll do the tie rods and the uppers(since these are really clicking).

thanks!
