What is the difference between an h7 D1S and D2S bulb?

What is the difference between an h7 D1S and D2S bulb?
I want to replace my current xenon bulbs at the color temp of 6000k to 4300k. However, the seller has D2S bulbs while my aftermarket kit specifies that my bulb type is D1S. Will the D2S fit properly with no adapters directly into my halogen housing?

Look on Ebay for D2S to H7 adapter rings/sleeves
Then pickup some D2S bulbs. D1S is the newer style IIRC often used in Bi-xenon applications. D1 adn D2R is totally different altogether.
