what are the differences betw. US 1pc halogen housings and US 1pc xenon housings? ...
Or more exact: can xenon housings be used with regular halogen bulbs if you don't have stuff like ballasts, autolevellers, and xenon bulbs? Or will that not work?

well besides covering up the ballast hole and securing the inner housing
the halogen bulbs will fit. Some people have trimmed the H7 base a little to let the bulbs sit more flush but the bulbs do work. Just make sure you seal up the ballast hole well (so no moisture gets in) and secure the inner housing by either using a shipping plug from euro xenon housings or rigging up some kind of contraption in place of the auto levelers

how about the low-beam H7 bulb connection though? ...
When you have xenons, the xenon bulb connects to the ballast.
