What are the disadvantages of a Borla exhaust as compared to, say Supersprint?

What are the disadvantages of a Borla exhaust as compared to, say Supersprint?
I know it's a lot cheaper (from AWE), but what are the advantages that the extra $400 buys you with an APR or a Supersprint?

It's all relative.
It just depends on your preference I guess. One might say that you get a much higher quality exhaust (appearance/fitment-wise) with APR or Milltek....I would agree. Somone else might say that the APR or Milltek "sound better." Others might prefer the Borla sound....it's all personal preference really. You've got to weigh out these factors, and others, to decide if that extra $400 is worth it to you. I don't think anyone has done an exhaust comparo on the A4, so one can't really say that for $400 you get more HP/torque with APR or Milltek. Personally, I have the Borla and I'm satisfied. That's not to say that I wouldn't WANT an APR or Milltek exhaust if I had the money....I just can't justify the difference in price for "intangibles," such as appearance and sound. Best advice: find someone in your area with each exhaust and look/listen first. Good luck

You mean advantages........as in DP!!!......=)
Borla comes with a 2 1/4" downpipe.....the Supersprint doesn't.....as far as the APR....it's a nice system but its overpriced, not worth the extra 4 bills........best for the $$$, build, sound, and performance would be the Neuspeed G2.....$650 shipped from SPP.......and the Borla is good too.....I just installed my AWE-Borla on Wednesday.....sounds great, nice and deep....no sandblaster at all......;-)

Well put.....hey R.Condal...I'm in NJ if you wanna hear the Borla...or..
you can stop by the BBQ us Audizine guys are having on Sunday......it's in Bergen County.....some park......alot guys will be there with most of the exhausts represented (Borla, Milltek, Neuspeed G2, Remus, Supersprint......and I'm sure there'll be someone running the APR).....so see if you can swing by, even if it's just for a few......lmk if you need directions....=)

well said, just make sure whatever exhaust you get has a downpipe on it...
might as well get the ~10-15hp that a downpipe gives you over a muffler only supersprint exhaust.
Now a Supersprint muffler with a downpipe would cool.
