Wax your car! Actually I cleaned it inside and out. After the wash, I handwaxed it with Zymöl. This stuff really gives it a good shine. I just wished it lasted longer.

Here's the hood:

Neat huh?

Default About that cleaner wax..

I've been using it for some time now. It works well but it seems to be that the product (cleaner wax) is being manufactured under "Turtle Wax" brand, thanks to information from carcareonline.com.. Call it silly be I felt betrayed.

Biltz wax and others are what most of the detail freaks rave about here on AW. After trying it you will find that is works WELL..similar to Malco Imperial Paste wax but buffs off ease. The lasts loner then cleaner wax too, of course because it's a paste.

my $0.02

How good is this Zymol Cleaner Wax? I saw a two pack of this stuff at Costco for about ~$15.

It works real well and doesn't leave a build up, but you have to use it every 2-3 months.

Default One Grand Blitz Wax lasts a long time.

Here are some pics I took last May. It had been about 7 months since I last put a coat of wax on the car. I usually try to wax the car about twice a year w/ 3M Imperial Hand Glaze and One Grand Blitz Wax. That was the first year I owned the car and only used Sonax Gloss Shampoo (which you can't get any more), so that probably helped the longevity. This year, I ran it throught the car wash a number of times and noticed it needs wax a little sooner this year.

Default From what I've been reading, I think I'll try Blitz after I run out of Zymöl.

A little bit of that blue gunk goes a long way.

Is Blitz a liquid or paste wax? I've never used a paste wax before. Wax on, wax off?
