What do you guys know about clear bras?

how much is the kit? I wonder if I can do it. One other question..
i assume it doesn't block the UV rays that fade paint. because i had a regular leather bra on an older car i had and the paint faded over the years and left a mark where the bra was. I wonder if the sun gets through and fades evenly with the rest of the car over the years.
Paint fades very slowly and you prob can't notice except if you have a leather bra on your hood the whole time.

Dealer put one on my car on the lot new. It looks like hell right now...
It's mighty yellowed and very spotty. It wasn't 3M as far as I know.
But in fairness to McDonald they are willing to partially pay for the 3M version replacement. Problem is I'm now in Minnesota. So, I'm going to my dealer here to see if they'll work something out with Mcdonald.

Just checked stongard's website. They are selling the kit for $364.95
My car is silver so it's really hard to tell if it's fading with the rest of the car. But I know stongard has UV screen build in.

Got Amourfend to install mine over a year ago and it is still good and clear.
I drive to Vermont alot in the winter and this stuff is just great. To bad it couldn't help my windshield. Armourfend also uses the 3M stuff. Must say this has been by far the best investment for my car.

two years on my car now
had installed the day after i bought my car. i think it was about $400 at a professional place.
i have santorin blue, say any chips (i have one on the a-pillar) show up like crazy. i've been very happy with mine, and i highly recommend them. the only problem I've had with them is when washing/waxing. It's hard to get the 'plastic' bra part to look as nice and shiny as the painted parts of the car. But it's worth it by a mile.
