Default Oh yeah. Some things I forgot to mention:

Chicken wire mesh? Do you know HOW many Rieger kits have the EXACT same mesh as I do? It's the mesh that came with the bumper from Rieger. I guarantee you more people have this mesh than they do RS4, so don't say this is "hacking it together"

"I'd hate if you weren't getting maximum airflow because you cheaped out on the fmic."

This type of FMIC is actually MORE efficient than others as TomRitt said earlier. Maybe you should learn a bit more about the 1.8t before you start talking bad about the parts on my car.

Default please just tell us all how you like the new FX K04 set up?.....more.....

have you ever been in an APR stage III ? If so, how does your car compair to the APRS3?

How does the new set up compair to GIAC X chip?

Do you wish you could have skipped on this K04 set up and gone with APR stage III ?

sorry for all these questions again, but I need to get a bit for comfortable with this K04 set up before I get it?

I'm sure you understand.

Thanks in advance for your reply!

Default don't worry man.. i really won't take offense.. i just noticed from a few pics..

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/82607/a.jpg">
that lower mesh really does look like door screen.. why not clean it up...

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/82607/fmic1.jpg">
k this is more a preference thing.. and if it's the way you like it.. that's cool.. but that mesh also looks like the stuff you see on every honda. Just cheap wire mesh... and the fmic... i know it's for performance not just for looks but... when done correctly those FMIC's can make the 1.8t look mean.
Tightt, Paul858,generalzod(b6 forum), twentyvalveb5... and a slew of others on here have nice looking fmic that really add to the appeal of the car. I think your's was a step back.. it just looks awkward.. and it's not something i would cheap out on. My .02$

Default Definitly understand man. No worries. I haven't ridden in an APR stage 3 car....

I wish I could say I have to give a good comparison. I know for a fact that this setup is SO much faster than my X chip. No comparison, hands down, this setup rocks. It pulls really hard... if you've noticed the X-chip dies off rather quickly in rpm's and this pulls much harder all the way to redline. I definitly reccommend this setup to you and for the price I am VERY glad that I saved the money and did this vs. apr stage 3.

Default I'm not really a big fan of the Rieger kit, but your car is one the best looking ones I have seen...

Default Yea I know where you are coming from. I guess you kind of have to see the car in person too.

The fmic does look kinda strange in the pics (compared to those that you mentioned). I personally like the look and can understand why you don't. About the mesh... I really don't think it's that big of an issue. I don't feel like taking my front bumper off just to put new mesh in that not many people will notice, you know? Same goes for the rear valence. It is SO siliconed in there that you have to take it off. Trust me... I've tried. Haha.
