I went in for an oil change last week and the tech recommended a radiator flush. I declined because I was planning on taking it in to the dealer for 60k servicing soon. Turns out, 60k servicing is not much more than an oil change.
Today I got a temperature alert on the dash. I have a feeling it is radiator related. Anyone know the average cost of this service?
Car is a 2001 A4 1.8T.
TIA

You really want to start thinking about doing the timing belt service at 60K. You can search the archives for examples of premature failures, costs, etc. With the overheating (?) issue, you have another reason to do this. With this timing belt service you'll have to replace the coolant, water pump, and thermostat, which addresses some of your concerns. Still you'll want a mechanic to diagnose the issue, in case it's determined that you need a new radiator, fan switch, whatever. Anything causing the overheating will be easier (hence cheaper) to address while the TB service is being performed.
