What is expected life of 1.8T engine? Doesn't extra heat and

pressure boost on head cause faster wear?

Also, isn't 1.8T geared very low, i.e. higher RPM at cruising speed? More spins means less life.

What is RPM at 60 MPH in 5th gear?

well, when you think about it, VW uses the exact same engine and has a warrente of 10/1000000

YOu can check it out at www.vw.com I think if you dont chip, your set for a very long time.

Thx, My 89 Jetta runs at 2500 rpm at 60.
