I've looked all over the owner's manual and can't find a reference to this thing...
At the root of the B-pillar, to the left of the bottom-rear of the driver's seat, is a button that shows an icon of a car that looks like it has an alien light shining on it. Sometimes it lights up.
What is this and what does it do??
Beam me up into space?
Afraid it's the eject button,

It's for disabling the motion sensors in your car. Why? Maybe you want to arm the car the with the windows down. Sometimes people like to leave their sunroof cracked for airing out car also. Once you get out of the car, press the space command button BEFORE you close the door and the the tiny light in the upper right corner of the button should come on. Close the door and hit the lock button on you key fob. You're good to go.
