Default This is what I found, when changing the Boost Recirculation Valve at 60Kmi...

Firstly, APR Stage 1 installed at 10Kmi, so that means the original factory BPV has seen 50Kmi with an occasional spurt to 1Bar (15psi).

With that said, the original Diverter Valve was in PERFECT condition, still able to hold a vacuum on the control side of the diaphragm and still seals on the pressure side (turbo) side.

I also changed the vacuum/pressure control hose, you know the hose going up to the intake manifold. I have read from many on this forum that this hose can age and start to crack. Here again, my original hose was soft and pliable, but went ahead and changed it anyway, since I was in that area already.

Since the original Diverter Valve, was in good shape, I decided to stick with the factory spec. and replaced it with same.

Finally, this was my direct experience and yours may vary. I don't want to dis the users or manufacturers of the various "industrial grade" Diverter Valves, but I for one, have NOT found a need for them.

Default well I think the reason the some like myself to change to aft.mrkt. is b/c of the increase in HP

on the 01's and for others using bigger turbo's. The upgraded BPV is needed to hold more boost.
