What is the ideal Gap for spark plugs on a 1.0 bar 1.8t...
#5
Ideally...
...start with a gap in the 0.030" to 0.032" range. If you get misfires with the above gap, go down to 0.028". If you still get misfires, look elsewhere for spark issues. This info. is for an AEB code 1.8T (97-99.5 DBC) running 1bar of APR boost...YMMV. If you have coil packs with a power stage on top (i.e. 2000-2001 DBW) stay close to stock plug gap.
Not all plugs are correctly gapped out of the box!
