What kind of CHIP should I get now, if I will KO4 later? *more*
I want to chip my 2001.5 A4 now, and will eventually get a k04 set up. What chip will work best along w/ the k04 with out any problems?

You'll have to get an upgraded chip if you change your turbo...
the popular opinion is to go with GIAC since you can upgrade with them when you get the turbo (APR doesn't have a K04 program)

GIAC is your only real option...
MTM possibly, but thanks to Hoppen it's near impossible to get their software...
Go GIAC, and you will get a discount later on should you go for a K04 kit...

Use the current group buy or Matrix Engineering offers a great value K04 kit...
Sure if you can afford it then go straight for a K04 upgrade...\

get the GIAC X chip, skip the K04 and do a PES T28 thereafter that uses GIAC software.
There's not much power difference with a K04 on an '01 than the GIAC X chip...or so that's the rumor...
Has anyone put a K04 on the '01 and dyno'ed it?
Some of us (me included) have driven a <'01 A4 with the K04 and an X chipped '01 A4 and the butt dyno says the power delivery is a little different, but there's not much more power, if any. 1/4 miles are the same.
