Default What kind of tranny fluid do you Northeastern's run?

I'm thinking I need a change. Not sure what brand my Audi indy shop put in (i do know it was synthetic), but I wanted to know what specific kind you guys are running. Shifting is still crunchy in this cold weather and its bothering me.

Motul 300. It helped quite a bit with shifting in the cold.

Default I've been happy with this stuff

Red line for the trans. However, to me, it seems its only good for about a year. Then you have to flush and fill with fresh. Red line= top shelf, however, its racing fluid, so its not a "life time" or good for "100,000 miles" type of oil.
I change mine every 20K miles(some will say "its a waste")

But i have switched the rear diff with the Facrory GL5 lube.

About your trans feeling a little crunchy, that pretty much normal at cold temps with this trans.
A few thing that you can do, not to hurt that 2nd gear syncro is, double cluth 1st gear, double clutch 2nd gear, make sure your doing about 8-10mph, when getting out of your driveway/down the street.
Pretty much double clutch all gears, until you get some heat in the trans. NO F1 STARTS!!!!

Default yea a bunch of ppl here have suggested double-clutching....it seems to work,

but in conjunction I'd like to get a better fluid in there. Since my shop replaced the fluid about 6-7K miles ago, im skeptical to know what fluid is in there now.

Default I used to have Redline fluid in there and I just switched back to the Audi fluid

it seems to be a little bit better but I'm thinking thats just because its new fluid. If I did it again, I would try some other aftermarket fluids as the Audi stuff is $30 a bottle and you need 3 bottles.

Double clutching allows you to shift when it gets cold out. My 2nd gear hates anything below 45 degrees F
