What kind of Tranny fluid does the dealer have?
I've got to change my girlfriends Tranny fluid on her 97 A4 1.8T Quattro 5spd manual Transmission. My question is, what fluid should I use and how much of it will I need? Also, do I need to use some sort of different fluid in the differential? Some told me to go with Redline MT-90 in the Tranny, however I've heard that Redline has a bad reputation with some of thier fluids (ie; eating up brass synchros). Anyone have any experience with them? Also, does anyone know what kind of Tranny fluid the dealer has? (By the way, Audi-Carousel sells theirs for $16/qt).

I was gonna tell him to search....
