Default what might cause the noise I'm hearing the back wheel

Hi,

recently I've started hearing something coming from the driver side rear wheel.
The noise is emitted in tandem with the rotation of the wheel, and the volume is proportional to the speed of the car. It sort of sounds like some kind of friction (I wouldn't call it a grinding noise). It is not tire noise. It sounds more like an internal noise than the snow tire whistle. Could it be the transmission? any ideas?

Default I've had the same sound...

...since my battle with the curb. I suspect the wheel bearing is the culprit, as Chalie E says. It goes into the shop tomorrow. I'll post the verdict tomorrow.

I too battled with a curb kinda hard. Rim Wasted. I am also going into the shop tomorrow to get the bearing checked. I will also post the verdict.

Default Me Too ===>

I have the same sound except on the rear right. Get up to the speed where you can hear the sound well, then try steering your car to the right (as to make it LEAN left) and see if the sound gets more prominent. Then try turning to the right and see if it goes away, if it does then it's the bearing.
HTH

Enjoy
