What to Offer on this A-4

I am looking at a 97 A4 1.8 with Tiptronic and
only 31,000 miles. It is in great shape and he
wants $14,999. How low can I go without insulting
him? Thanks for the help.

13,500 is reasonable for that mileage but is it quattro?

13,500 is not reasonable--it's retail. Offer 10k, pay no more than 11--car is 6 yrs. old.

I don't think there is a chance in hell you'll get it for 11,000 like the guy below said. If you do, good for you and jump all over it!
