What Redline for A4/Passat 5 speed gearbox?

What Redline for A4/Passat 5 speed gearbox?
I have a '99 Passat 1.8T 5 speed and want to switch over to Redline tranny fluid. Has anyone done this with the A4/Passat B5 transmission? What's the right Redline to use, MT-90? My owner's manual doesn't mention viscosity required. Thanks.

All Audi gearboxes of recent use 75W-90 gear oil, which...
...is what Redline MT-90 is. I might warn you though, that MT-90 made my 90Q nearly impossible to shift when cold, while the lighter MTL (75W-80) was OK. Other 75W-90 synthetics were fine, with Mobil 1 being the best when warm, but suffering some when cold (but not nearly as much as the MT-90). Overall, my best experiences have been with Mobil 1 in both the engine and gearbox. HTH!
