Default this is what i did

first i tried an airgun. Of course I broke 2 of the 3 bolts with that. Then I got smart and warmed up the car a little bit. If it's too hot to touch then you can just wait a while and let it cool a little bit. While it's warm, spray some lubricant like WD40 or something on there. Let it soak and then try again with an airgun or hand tools. If you use a gun make sure to be gentle on it. If you break the heads off the bolts it's a PAIN to get them out. I had to take the whole cat out to get what was left of them out.

Default For the Cat bolts

connected to the Turbo side ... should just need an adjustable 17mm rachet/socket and some wd40 or something. A little persuation doesn't hurt either

As for the bottom bolts to the DP.. have fun. $260 bucks later (including 3 new DP bolts, 3 new cat studs, 2 gaskets and retapping the turbo=>Cat adaptor holes) ... its off

The mechanic heated them up and wound up just breaking those DP bolts off ... too much of a PITA. And the contraption he made to even be able to reach them was quite interesting
