What size are rear door Speakers in 1998 A4 Avant?

What size are rear door Speakers in 1998 A4 Avant?
I am going to replace my speakers in a non-bose 1998 A4 Avant wagon. I have figured out that the front doors are 4" and that I can get an adaptor for 5.25" speakers. But I can't seem to find what size the rear door speakers are? Once I find out the size does anyone know if there is an adaptor to put in bigger speakers?
Your help would be greatly appreciated!
P.S.
I also have heard that there is an amp attached to the rear speakers. Is this true? Will this cause me trouble if I want to put in new speakers? Any specifics on this?
