will no longer be able to use the base auto hobby center which has lifts, and every tool you can imagine. Instead I will be doing my car work at my uncles house. There isn't much difference between the two facilities, my uncle has a lift, a full machine shop, 8 million tools etc all there, but this last time when I changed out my turbo I ran into some problems getting the car in the air. I was using one of the large hydraulic floor jacks and 2 of the jack stands. I had to place the floor jacks so far back so I could fit the jack stands in there, that they were bearly even on the cars jack points and started to slightly bend the edges a little bit. I really don't care to keep repeating that over and over again. So I either need a new strategy (like using the factory jack) or a new set of jack stands that aren't so wide. ( I think these were 2 ton jack stands)

Craftsman Professional 3.5 ton
and a set of the 3 ton as well.
The 3 ton set came with my 2 1/4 ton jack and the 3.5 ton set came with my 3 ton floor jack.

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?pid=00950157000&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes& amp;vertical=TOOL&cs=e1</a

I use the 2 1/4 jack to lift one front side, then slide the 3 ton under to my DTS and lift the front
Then, I pull the 2 1/4 jack out and put 3.5 ton stands on the front sides. Then, I use the 2 1/4 jack to lift each rear and put the 3 ton jack stands back there. done.
If there's no need to remove the wheel, then I just use the Rhino ramps.
To keep from damaging the pinch rail, I use a jack block, which you can see sitting on my 2 1/4 ton jack in the pic below.
My jacks, stands, ramps, and chucks... and toluene

you put your jack on the DTS?
I wonder if I can do that without the DTS, or no?
I think that 2 1/4 is the way to go, it looks pretty damn small.
I had no idea how stupid CHEAP all that stuff is. Those 3 ton jacks are like 20 dollars.
