Default What is the suggested miles on the new car?

I was about to get a car but it was over 250 miles. So I told the dealer that it seems too much mile for a new car but the dealer told me that it was because the car technician do the test drive regularily. well.. i didn't buy his words but can you guys tell me the suggested miles for a new car?

Default Do the math

From assembly line to transporter; from transporter to ship; from ship to transporter; from transporter to dealership.

It sounds like this car is a demo, which is OK to buy if you're OK with that. But chances are it has been VERY broken-in.

Default Mine had 18 miles on it...

and that was after the technician had tested it. That seems like too much to me. If those miles are from the dealer test driving it...I'm sure they're very hard miles.

Default if it's over 50 miles it's not new anymore, and dealer knows that. Unless you ordered it

to be brought up from another dealership in another state or something.

Mine was ordered, came with 3 miles. That was after the salesguy took it to gas it up.

Default Audis are PDI 'd(prep delivery inspection?) at the dealers not at the port like other makes.

There is a checklist that your service manager should be able to show you that expplains this process. A 4-8 mile drive is not unusual.

At 250 miles and you did not order it (correct?) it sounds like it was test driven a few times, that's all. My first new car had 1600 miles on it. It was a car show demo vehicle. My TT had 218 miles on it. It was test driven for 1 day, including by me, then I bought it at 6pm that night.

IMHO, it's fine. Get it if it's exactly the A4 you want except for the 250 miles.
