What tire pressures should be used with 215/45/17 on A4 1.8?

I've got 225/45/17 PP02's on my 1.8t....................
and i keep the tire pressure at 40 lbs. For everyday use, i would say 38 - 42 lbs. is a good window. You can vary the pressures between the front and the back, you just have to experiment to see what feels better to you.
