My brakes are stock except for SS lines and motul 600 fluid. I bled them last weekend, and they seem to firm up a little bit more a few days after the bleed. Tonight while the car was parked with the engine running I push the brake pedal as hard as I can and it almost goes to the floor... But if the car is moving and I push the brake pedal 2" it is very firm, and the car will stop very quickly, sometimes engaing the ABS.
Why the diffence in feel when not moving? Also after pushing the brake pedal as hard as I could while stationary several times, the initial dead spot at the top while braking when moving is almost gone!
I'm really not complaining, I love my brakes now, but I just dont understand why the pedal is firm when moving but soft when stopped.
Also I have noticed sometimes I get a click when applying the brakes, I also think I can barely feel it. This happened after I swapped out the pads and rotors for the track, but the OEM stuff is back in there now and it still does it. Sounds like it is coming from the front of the car. Searching on the board tells me it might be the spring on the outside of the caliper, but I can see that its in there nice and tight.
