What would cause my car to run lean and go into limp mode?

how did you check for leaks in the hoses?

another thing is it will only stay in limp mode for about a day or less and then i am back to normal

i haven't replace the DV yet but i have one right now that i am going to install soon

we basically just sealed from the MAF to right before the engine.........hooked up an air compressor and listened and felt for air......

email me tomorrow an I will try to help you out...I am on my way to bed

mine went switched back for a little while, then eventually stayed limp

Default Man, what is this, bad MAF meter week. Just replaced mine on Friday...

Default vag-com codes to check:

Log these data blocks:

032 - Long-Term fuel trim at idle and under throttle. The first two values should be within -10 and +10 and relatively close to each other. If the first is negative and the second is +18 or higher, MAF meter is probably bad (Mine were -.5 & +18.4 before replacing MAF meter, and -0 & +1.4 after replacing).

211 - Provides actual and calculated expected MAF values. Log this datablock while driving and see how the values match up.
