Default I am not a big fan of slotted or drilled rotors.

Unless you like the look?

Default I had slotted rotors once in 20+ years of car ownership. My motorcycles all have them...

just not worth it on the car. Slot the pads if they are not already and if gases are really a problem. The cross-drilled. Had them once also, a lot of cracks developed fairly quickly. At the time I drove about 40k miles a year and pads and rotor every 9-12 months too costly and no real difference, for me, on the street.

Default a comment.....

I put a set of ATE Power Discs(orbital slots) and pads on our 00 30v with great results. They have much better bite, virtually no fade, and seem to wear longer. The slotted discs are fairly inexpensive as well, about $80-90 a side.

Default a response...

I looked at price versus function, and these were a no-brainer. I've used them previously on some Porsches with very positive results. There are alot of suppliers that can get them, you just need to ask for them. I got mine from the link below(no affiliation), just ask for Dave and ask him for ATE power discs for your car if they are not on the web site. These discs are more commonly used in Europe then here. If you want to improve the brake performance you might consider checking your brake hoses and master cyl. Items like these are getting pretty tired on these cars with age and with lengthy miles on them.

Power Discs
