I'd still say Mobil-1 5W-30 would be your best bet

Default Yep, my soapbox...

Yes, check the manual: 5w30 (unspecified but apparently dino) up to 90+F. 5w30 synthetic is vastly better than dino in all categories including price (over time). Ergo, unless you race in S. Arizona, TX, or CA, go for 5w30 synthetic.

Mobil 1 is available everywhere in the US at Kmart and Target. Redline and Amsoil are comparable but more expensive.

Default But Audi *doesn't* recommend the use of synthetic oil.

They might recommend 5W-30 but not synthetic 5W-30. Keep in mind that they don't recommend against synthetic either.
