Whats the best psi for a set of 225/40/zr18 tires?

I though it was around 42 psi, but can't remember right not.

best for what?

best for quick steering response - yeah, about 42 sounds right.

best for comfort - I'd go down to 36, but then again with 18s, you're probably not looking for comfort anyway.

It all depends on the tire, and driving habits.

I'd say start with 38 front/35 rear for a ZR tire and adjust according to feel.

What's it say on the tire? How about on the car?

I usually keep my PSI somewhere between those two numbers. low-profile tires get higher PSI.

Not sure about the car, tire max is 52 psi

last time i had them balanced they set them at about 32psi and i didn't catch it until yesterday when i washed the car. I think they were at around 40psi, but couldn't remember.
