- Do all (OEM) S4 housings have the euro-spec beam pattern? Or do they still have the US (read "flat") beam pattern?
- Are all (OEM) S4 housings built exclusively for xenon?
- What's the difference between the aftermarket S4 and A4 Valeo's?
- Reason I ask is b/c the S4 headlight Valeo's are so much more expensive than the normal valeos.

HID wiring. The difference in the low beams is the bulb retainor, and I believe they have even more shielding over the bulb than the halogens.

As for the diffs between Euro-spec housings, same deal, only they have the E-code pattern, not the flat USDOT pattern. The USDOT HID lights don't have the pronounced step up like the E-codes.

whereas A4 housings with halogens dont have HIDS, so no cutout.

And A4 housings with HIDs are probably the same housings as the S4 ones, since they are all marked "A4" by Valeo anyway.

If you are going to upgrade, get the e-code HID housings.

Buying the brand new e-code S4 housings are like $500; used S4 for like $200...is it worth the diff?

...basically, the differences are beam pattern and a clear corner. That ain't worth $300 to me ;-) Good luck

To confirm - the only S4 difference is the amber side marker and the beam?

I have stock HIDS on my A4 and the difference was very noticable when I upgraded to the ecodes
