What's the diff. in sound between the Alpine changer for the Delta head unit..(more)
and an FM modulator. I want the OEM changer for my 96 2.8 but it's too damn expensive. How would an aftermarket FM modulator sound with the Bose? Is there a discernable difference? Any recommendations?

Well...
It will work... but you have to realize that your clean digital source will be modulated as analog radio frequency, with a much narrower response... You'll lose the crisp peaks, and the deep valleys. Additionally, there will be some noise introduced. I wouldn't be happy with it.
