here's some limited help...
A BPV is a bypass valve, basically it re-routes air back to the turbo when you are shifting during acceleration. this prevents the turbo from having excess pressure on it, thereby prolonging it's life. the stock car has a BPV, but it's not rated for the increased pressure an aftermarket chip will add.
A BOV is a blowoff valve, which releases air into the atmosphere with a nice psssssshhhhhttt sound. There is some controversy, however, to whether or not this is ok for your car. Some people say that the sensor for the car still thinks that the air is still in there (since the stock BPV would keep the air in) so it mixes the fuel with it, but it sends too much fuel so the mixture is rich (too much fuel, not enough air)...and this is bad for the car.
imo, get the BPV...the car is made to work with the BPV and you'll feel a lot better knowing that you have a part that works with your car. safer...hth.
