It certainly sounds better with the rear fill, IMO.

Default certainly preference.... it is an xtant amp...

I am not sure what quarts I have, so perhaps I could step up to nicer ones (I got em used)....

I used to have boston pro series 6.5s in my old car... and they were MUCH smoother...

I have thought about swapping the stuff around... like dropping the boston tweets in... perhaps swapping the crossovers...

I also have a harman kardon car amp I was gonna swap in too.... we shall see....

Default Remember, speakers are like food...

Everybody has different tastes, and what one person finds agreeable, another will not. Get a list of manufacturers, and audition them before you buy. Also remember that what you hear on a sound wall will not reflect how they will sound in your car...so it's best to find people that have what you are considering, and audition that way...especially if you're planning to spend a lot and live with these speakers for a while.

I listened to a high end set of MBQ's on a sound wall years ago, and they sounded great...until I got them in my car. They gave me headaches...I much preferred the old set of ADS speakers I had. That's not to say MBQ is bad...they just didn't agree with my musical tastes.

Default they have a really high metallic sound to them. Most setups i've heard have anyway. They don't

sound natural at all. A lot of ppl swear by them and maybe it's a tuning issue, but I have never heard a warm sounding component setup from MBQ

Default I classified those as "Lots of good amp manufacturers out there if you're willing to shell out the

money"

Default Yeah, but you don't like the speakers to begin with...

Increasing the amp's power isn't going to make it sound any better to *your* ears.
