When I first got my car it would read about half way on the gauge when warmed up. Which I believe is normal. Then it started only reading like 1/8th - 1/4 on the gauge.
I replaced it about a year ago and it read around 1/2 for a while, now its pulling the same crap as before.
Thoughts? My cooling system is nice and clean, w/ fresh G12 in it.
I guess I'll just buy another one and see what happens. Going to replace oil temp sender too, I don't think that's working either.

I was running on straight water for a few months in the summer though. don't see how that could affect the sensor though...(closed element)

I generally change them out every 50-60k and can notice a difference(better mpg, smoother idle). There seems to be only so much they can handle before going south. They are cheap so I view them as maintenance items.
