Whats my paint code 1998 audi 1.8T vin WAUCB28D9WA214575 dont have access to my car to look
going to paint shop and dont have access to my car to check the paint code anyone help me out?
paintscratch.com list the following:
brilliant black LY9B
brilliant black clear coat LY9B/A2
volcano black pearl LZ9U
volcano black pearl clear coat LZ9U/W9
iirc my car has LY9B printed on it... would it make since to not have a clear coat though?

clear coat is part of two-part paint system. single-stage paint doesn't require clear coat
on a single stage paint basically the clear is built into the paint (think all-in-one). generally not thought of being as good as two-stage paint job. your car came with paint & clear (two stage).

lol i know that was wondering is my car has the one stage or two stage like uber guber explains
below.... doesn't matter though because paint shop can fix the s4 bumper i have its to badly damnaged lol
